Detox Cherry Smoothie Recipe

So I made a few unfriendly choices when it came to my body and food yesterday. This morning was a fresh new start and I wanted to give my body a reset. And voila- this smoothie was created. And it is delicious.

Detox Cherry Smoothie

This is a great way to start your day! (Especially if you've indulged the day before!)

  • blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1/2 large papaya seeds and rind removed
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/2 inch ginger root grated
  • 2 cups coconut almond milk or plain almond milk will do
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds raw
  • 2 tbsp flax seeds ground

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients together. Enjoy and love your body!

Cherries, papaya, and ginger root help you detox because they are all packed with antioxidants and full of natural fibers that help with digestion. Cherries also decrease inflammation. Papaya is full of enzymes that balance stomach acid. Ginger root lowers blood sugar and relieves indigestion.
