Book Review

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

5/5

Addie LaRue is desperate to escape her dismal future.  So desperate that she prays to the gods after dark despite being warned never to do so. She makes a deal with a dark god for immortality. In exchange, she is forgotten by everyone she ever meets the moment she is out of their sight. Until….  I remember you. After 300 years of being forgotten, Addie never thought she’d hear those words again.

I will remember you, Addie LaRue. Schwab shows up with incredible, free flowing prose that is alluring, cinematic, and dramatic. The story is rich, the chapters fly by. We are immersed into a timeless story of love vibrant with colorful new creation. This will be one of the few books I will read again and again, small secrets revealed each time.

The ending made me laugh and cry. Both fully satisfied and left adrift. And so this is the bitter sweet reality of each five star book- I WANT MORE!

Audiobook Review  I absolutely adore Julia Whelan. I always get excited when I see a book is narrated by her. Clear, concise, her French accents are parfaite. She easily gives life to a range of characters, not one similar to the next.

You can buy The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue here from Amazon or you can also choose to support local bookstores by purchasing it from Bookshop although I highly recommend listening to this book! You can buy the audio version at Libro.fm here.
