I realize that I am probably breaking multiple book reviewing rules- Â but please stay with me here. I could not stop after each book. I would immediately pick up the next to continue the story unbroken.Â
Maas is a masterful storyteller. So talented that it’s sometimes hard to wrap my head around how one mind could create such a well loved collection of characters and so many layers of worlds and of storylines.Â
I saw the hype first on TikTok and scrolled on by. Then it hit Bookstagram. Friends I admire and follow for their book preferences were pushing the series. So, I picked up ACOTAR and very skeptically began to read. I was utterly wrong to doubt any of the influencers. I was completely entranced by Feyre. Maas is a great weaver of words, bringing bright colors to a story so unfamiliar to my non fantasy enriched mind.Â
Audiobook Reviews I personally believe that Jennifer Ikeda was a perfect voice for Feyre. She was emotive and had great character definition. Â Cobb did a nice job, she just wasn’t “Feyre” in my head after listening to Ikeda for the first two books. I gave Nielsen a standing ovation for Nesta- she was absolutely the perfect narrator for A Court of Silver Flames.
To get you started, you can find the first book in the series, A Court of Thrones and Roses by Sarah J Maas here at Amazon or you can also choose to support local bookstores by purchasing it from Bookshop. You can buy the audio version at Libro.fm here. Â
