Place the berries in a food processor and blend until smooth.
For seedless jam: place a fine mesh strainer over a medium sauce pan. Pour the blended berries into the strainer and push them around with a spatula. The sauce will run through the strainer leaving the seeds behind. Do this until as much sauce is strained as possible.
Add sugar, lemon juice and salt to the sauce pan with the berry sauce. Stir frequently on low heat until the jam thickens, about 18-22 minutes.
