Book Review

Daisy Jones and the Six

Daisy Jones is an epic memoir style story of a 1970s rock band. All the boozy, crazy, tense and wild behind the scenes you could imagine.

Is Taylor Jenkins Reid Janice Joplin reincarnated? How does she come up with this realistic to the bone, all encompassing look into rock stars’ lives? And not just one but 7 of them?!? I absolutely loved Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones rocked. I bow to the talent that oozes out of TJR and she will always be an automatic buy for me. There was no AHA! moment or gotcha scene for me. It was just a lovely story, rolled out like a song. The only downside to this book is that I desperately wanted Daisy to be real so I could research her photos and wikipedia.

Bonus- it’s going to be an Amazon series! God Bless Reese Witherspoon. Bring on barefoot table dancing and drinking full bottles of wine.

Audiobook Review- I adore a full cast of narrators and this one is star studded and super talented.

You can buy Daisy Jones and the Six here from Amazon or you can also choose to support local bookstores by purchasing it from Bookshop although I highly recommend listening to this book! You can buy the audio version at here.
