Rich and filling, this soup will comfort the soul and it’s also pretty enough for serving company during cool weather. It’s also vegetarian friendly. For potato without lardon soup, just substitute the bacon grease with olive oil and use a vegetable stock. Madame Babineau’s Lavender Honey
This honey smells so divine. I love adding it to my morning Earl Grey tea. 24 hour prep time, 15 mins cook time, makes 1 cup Ingredients 2 Tbsp lavender blossoms 1 cup honey Heat honey until thinned. Stir in lavender. Pour into a container (I used a mason jar) and cover at room temperature for 24 hours. Warm again and strain. Avocado Tuna Salad
This is a super easy and fresh lunch or dinner idea. 15 minute prep time, serves 4. Ingredients 10oz canned tuna 1 English cucumber, diced 2 medium avocados, diced 4 stalks celery, diced small red onion, diced 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped 2 Tbsp lemon juice 2 Tbsp olive oil 2 Tbsp mayonnaise 1 tsp garlic powder salt & pepper to taste bread; I used a sturdy Sourdough Mix together all ingredients except Sourdough.
