Chessboard Cake
This cake is a stunning centerpiece for any dessert table. The chessboard pattern will impress even the most calculating connoisseur. I love challenging myself to find and conquer difficult recipes. After a trio of tries I can finally ‘check’ this one off of my list. Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on linkedin Share on pinterest Share on email Share on google Previous Next He stared at her. “You should be upstairs with the others.” She looked at him levelly; something about this man and the steadiness with which he played his mysterious game helped her to hold tightly to what she wanted. “I don’t want to be with…

One By One Avalanche Bars
One by One had me hooked on the food front within 20 short minutes. The delectable gourmet food that chef Danny kept rolling out was palatably enticing. Evidence of the Affair Chocolate Mousse
Light but oh so rich, this mousse will make you cheat…….on your diet. Chocolate mousse has to be one of my favorite desserts. Ever since my 8th grade French teacher, Mrs. Moran, made us mousse au chocolat in class, I have been in love with this decadent dessert. I am however not a mousse purist. I cannot mentally make myself eat raw eggs so in my version the eggs are tempered. Rich and creamy, the key to this mousse is to take it out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before eating. I know the original reason we took up a correspondence was due to you seeking out the letters from…

Apple Cider Donut Holes Recipe with Caramel, Apple or Maple Whiskey Filling
Apple Cider Donut Holes with Apple Pie, Caramel, Whiskey Maple filling….. This Orlando girl misses fall. To me, the best part of fall is the apples (besides going back to school. Yes, I have always been nerdy!) Apple picking and fair foods like apple strudel and hot apple cider bred nostalgia. Here in Florida it is hot and summery. So I celebrate the next best way I know how- baking with apples. These apple cider donut holes are AH-mazing! Alone they are delicious but filled…..it just hits different. The whole batch was gone in less than 24 hours and that’s even without the hubby home to help. (He was out…

KimBees Tea & Berry Scones
Why have I always thought of scones as dry, crumbly, tasteless things that 18th century lords and ladies ate in their stuffy parlors? Goodness, these things are actually heavenly!! As a tea drinker, Behind Every Lie was a delightful change from all the coffee loving characters I’ve been reading about. Also, Kimbees Tea recently sent me some teas in exchange for an honest review. The timing couldn’t have been better! Their tea is rich and has a pure taste. I personally love the Spice Tea flavor but the Ceylon is everyday delicious! It is so tasty that I was inspired to make a tea glaze to drizzle over these scrumptious…
