    Killer Truffles

    December 7, 2020 / 0 Comments

One bite of these truffles and you will never believe they are so easy to make!! The best part is the topping possibilities are endless! Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on linkedin Share on pinterest Share on email Share on google Reid appears at my side. I smell the sugary morsels before I spot the platter of truffles in his outstretched hand. So. Many. Truffles. Kate Lansing, Killer Chardonnay Tweet Decadant and easy- my two favorite descriptions of a recipe. Psssst. These go great with the Killer Chardonnay Spritzer…… You can purchase Killer Chardonnay here from Amazon or if you’d like to support small bookstores, it’s also available…

    Chessboard Cake

    November 20, 2020 / 2 Comments

This cake is a stunning centerpiece for any dessert table. The chessboard pattern will impress even the most calculating connoisseur. I love challenging myself to find and conquer difficult recipes. After a trio of tries I can finally ‘check’ this one off of my list.  Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on linkedin Share on pinterest Share on email Share on google Previous Next He stared at her. “You should be upstairs with the others.” She looked at him levelly; something about this man and the steadiness with which he played his mysterious game helped her to hold tightly to what she wanted. “I don’t want to be with…

    One By One Avalanche Bars

    November 12, 2020 / 0 Comments

One by One had me hooked on the food front within 20 short minutes. The delectable gourmet food that chef Danny kept rolling out was palatably enticing. Don’t worry- I have a scrumptious dish in the works but I wanted to throw the obvious recipe out as well. Avalanche Bars are quick, easy and gratifying. And the perfect compliment to this thrilling read. I turn to look out the window. I see what…

Evidence of the Affair Chocolate Mousse

    October 29, 2020 / 3 Comments

Light but oh so rich, this mousse will make you cheat…….on your diet. Chocolate mousse has to be one of my favorite desserts. Ever since my 8th grade French teacher, Mrs. Moran, made us mousse au chocolat in class, I have been in love with this decadent dessert. I am however not a mousse purist. I cannot mentally make myself eat raw eggs so in my version the eggs are tempered. Rich and creamy, the key to this  mousse is to take it out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before eating.  I know the original reason we took up a correspondence was due to you seeking out the letters from…

    Grown Up Pop Tarts

    October 13, 2020 / 0 Comments

Must be 21 to eat these. So if you follow the blog, you may have noticed the Apple Cider Donut Holes stuffed with three different filling flavors. Well, they were delicious.  Yet three mostly filled pastry bags of delightful and flavor packed fillings still sat in my fridge this morning. Genius hit at 5:30 am while my two year old refused to sleep- pop tarts!! This pie dough tart is stuffed with Apple Pie Filling and Salted Caramel then frosted with Maple Whiskey Buttercream before being drizzled with the Salted Caramel Sauce again. Yep, you’re welcome.  peace and xo,   jenni Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on linkedin Share…

Apple Cider Donut Holes Recipe with Caramel, Apple or Maple Whiskey Filling

    October 11, 2020 / 0 Comments

Apple Cider Donut Holes with Apple Pie, Caramel, Whiskey Maple filling….. This Orlando girl misses fall. To me, the best part of fall is the apples (besides going back to school. Yes, I have always been nerdy!) Apple picking and fair foods like apple strudel and hot apple cider bred nostalgia. Here in Florida it is hot and summery. So I celebrate the next best way I know how- baking with apples.  These apple cider donut holes are AH-mazing! Alone they are delicious but filled…..it just hits different. The whole batch was gone in less than 24 hours and that’s even without the hubby home to help. (He was out…

    Guest List Red Velvet Cake

    September 23, 2020 / 0 Comments

When I read the Guest List, I knew almost immediately that I would be baking a wedding cake. Did you know that red velvet gets a natural slight red tint from cocoa powder?? Of course, it’s become standard to add coloring to get the deep velvety red that we know and love. Have you tried this recipe?? I’d love to hear your feedback. Please comment and rate! Mexican Hot Chocolate Sauce

    September 1, 2020 / 0 Comments

I love chocolate on just about anything. This sauce is not only dark and decadent, it also packs deep flavor and spicy, back of the tongue kick. It’s absolutely perfect for late night snacking. Nerdy Tip don’t have a double boiler? Try using two mixing bowls with hot water in the bottom bowl. try dipping a fresh, warm Bolillo roll in my Mexican Hot Chocolate Sauce. Weird but delish!! Have you tried making these rolls or the hot chocolate dip?? I’d love to hear your feedback. Please comment and rate! Peace & love, jenni

    KimBees Tea & Berry Scones

    March 10, 2020 / 0 Comments

Why have I always thought of scones as dry, crumbly, tasteless things that 18th century lords and ladies ate in their stuffy parlors? Goodness, these things are actually heavenly!! As a tea drinker, Behind Every Lie was a delightful change from all the coffee loving characters I’ve been reading about. Also, Kimbees Tea recently sent me some teas in exchange for an honest review. The timing couldn’t have been better! Their tea is rich and has a pure taste. I personally love the Spice Tea flavor but the Ceylon is everyday delicious! It is so tasty that I was inspired to make a tea glaze to drizzle over these scrumptious…
